We welcome submissions of poetry and prose ( fiction or nonfiction ) for the website. We welcome good writing of any kind from any source. Considerations of space mean that any submission should be 40 lines or fewer ( poems ) or 800 words or fewer ( prose ), and we carry no more than 4 contributions per author.
All submissions should be original work, previously unpublished, and in copyright of the author submitting; by sending us a submission you are confirming that this is so, and we accept this in good faith. Your ownership of copyright is unaffected by posting on this website.
All submissions should be made in writing; please use our contact form in the first instance to let us know of your interest. Submissions will be considered by a small editorial collective; we aim to respond within four weeks, but hope to do so more promptly. Editorial decisions are final, we are not able to offer feedback or critique.
Successful submissions will be posted for about six months, unless otherwise agreed.

Mill Cove Gallery and Sculpture Garden An excellent fine art gallery in a beautiful setting, with paintings, sculpture, and ceramics.
The gallery also hosts arts events: workshops, exhibitions, courses, and competitions — some in collaboration with Hungry Hill Writing.

We host regular poetry evenings, open to all, on the last Friday of each month. Come and join us at whiteRoom in Castletownbere from 8pm for informal readings ( your own poems or poems by other people ), discussion, or just listening. Come and try it! whiteRoom is a gallery just off The Square — from The Square, head towards the seafront with Beara Action Group on your left, and whiteRoom is a few yards along on your right.
